European Daily Market Review 10.2.20

European markets retreated some ground today with shares in France off the most.

The CAC-40 slipped 0.44% while the British FTSE-100 dropped 0.31% and the German DAX lost almost 0.30%.

Furthermore, the pan-European Stoxx 600 declined around 0.15% by the afternoon, with oil and gas stocks losing around 1%.

Ireland executed its general election this weekend but no political force was able to secure a clear victory.

Now the main parties will have to consider possible coalition arrangements.

The U.K.’s largest private pension manager is slashing its investment in hedge funds.

The auto giant Volkswagen AG has postponed the resumption of production at its China joint ventures. This comes in response to the contra virus epidemic.

Moreover, the German conglomerate limited travel options for its employees and reported that in a statement.
