Wall Street is into recovery after U.S. President Donald Trump sought to ease trade tensions with China.
Treasury yields retreated this morning after investors seek refuge following a turbulent weekend in the U.S.-China trade war. At around 4:50 a.m. ET, the yield on the benchmark 10-year.
Treasury note, lost 1.449%, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond fell to 1.942%.
New orders for key U.S.-made capital goods advanced last month, while shipments fell by the most in nearly three years.
The state of Colorado has become the 11th state to follow California’s zero-emission-vehicle mandate forcing automakers to sell more electric cars in the state.
The new rule was approved by Colorado’s air-quality commission by a vote of 8 to 1 on Aug. 23. Under it, at least 5% of an automaker’s new cars need to be electric vehicles, or EVs, by 2023 and more than 6% by 2025.
